Accommocation
There are 7 different rooms & suites to choose from. These romantic rooms are pure luxury. The comfortable king size beds look out to beautiful indigenous forest views. They have been decorated with your utmost comfort in mind and have an attention to detail that will pamper and aid you in unwinding.
Standard Suites – In the Main Lodge
Step into one of our two cosy standard suites with their high ceilings and exposed beams. With private deck areas in each suite and a sweeping view of the valley below, these standard suites have a lovely charm to them. On colder Winter nights, there is a choice of two luxurious fireplaces and lounge areas in the main lodge to enjoy. The stone bath in the corner of the suites call to guests to relax in while overlooking the valley below. Wi-Fi and television keeps you connected and in the know, while never having to leave the comfort of your suite. These two suites are in the main lodge building and are accessed off a mutual lounge area with a fireplace. This is a great option for groups travelling together who would like the privacy of a public lounge that can be closed off if four people are travelling together.
Master Suite – In the Main Building
Romantic and inviting, our Master Suite in the main lodge building is the perfect place to unwind. The spacious deck area invites you to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views that this suite offers. On colder Winter nights, there is a choice of two luxurious fireplaces and lounge areas in the main lodge to enjoy. Honeymoon Suites – In seperate Buildings

Each situated in their own building, they are lovely and private for those guests who enjoy having some space for themselves. Their cosy deck areas invite you to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views that these suites offer. On colder Winter nights, there is a charming fireplace to heat up the whole suite, and the indoor leather lounge area is perfect for a romantic evening. LUX Honeymoon Suites – In a seperate Building
Step into indulgent luxury with one of our two gorgeous flagship suites. High ceilings and large windows create the feeling of being immersed in nature, and with the fireplace to heat up the entire suite on cold winter days, an air of cosiness surrounds you when you enter. With their exposed feature rock walls, leather lounge areas and live-edge wooden furniture, these are the perfect suites to relax and unwind in. Each with a private plunge pool and outside deck area, these two suites welcome you on our warm summer days, and their outdoor showers are a delight in any weather. Wi-Fi and the large smart television keeps you connected and in the know, while never having to leave the comfort of your suite. With sweeping views of the surrounding valley, these two suites are set in their own shared building, and are accessed through a mutual relaxation and lounge area. While lovely and secluded from the main lodge, each suite is an ideal romantic getaway for two people, and it is also a great option for four people travelling together who would like the privacy of a separate unit.
Activities
Mountain biking in Plettenberg bay
In and around Plettenberg Bay there are many spectacular cycling routes, indigenous forest trails and beautiful scenery make this part of the Garden Route a favourite mountain biking destination. Ride to the sound of the many different bird species in the area, the knysna loerie is one of our regulars.
Bird Watching
Bird viewing is fantastic to do in Plettenberg bay and especially near the lodge. We are in the Keurboom heights, Crags area of the Garden route and surrounded trees and nature. We have built two bird viewing platforms in the bush to enable an even better bird viewing experience. The Garden Route is famous for its birds. Here in Plettenberg Bay, we are on the border between the two provinces resulting in a great diversity of bird life. Plettenberg Bay offers the keen birder a large variety of habitats to choose from such as Forests, Estuaries, Oceans, Fynbos, Grasslands and Rivers. Here you can see some incredibly rare and beautiful birds such as African Black Oystercatchers, Knysna Warblers, Knysna Loeries, Malachite Kingfishers and several types of sunbirds. It is said that more than 250 species can be spotted in the area. The local bird society has spotted over 101 different bird species at just the Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve alone.

African Purple Swamphen, African Black Oystercatcher, Reed Cormorant, Three-banded Plover, Yellow-Billed Egret, Marsh Sandpiper, African Sacred Ibis, African Snipe, African Spoonbill, Black-shouldered Kite, African Fish-Eagle, Caspian Tern, Steppe Buzzard, Forest Buzzard, Pied Avocet, Red-eyed Dove, African Goshawk, Peregrine Falcon, Knysna Turaco, African Rail, Giant Kingfisher, Knysna Woodpecker, Fork-tailed Drongo, Olive Thrush, Lesser Swamp-Warbler, Knysna Warbler and the Bar-throated Apalis. If you want to see something slightly different, we really recommend spending a couple of hours at Birds of Eden, a unique two hectare dome spanning over a gorge of indigenous forest. This is a safe environment in which a large collection of free-flight African birds have been released.
Stables
Tamodi Stables was born out of Owen and Lynne’s passion for horses and ensuring they have the best care possible. We are a small competitive livery yard managed by Lynne who has been riding for more than 30 years and has competed successfully in open show jumping, open showing, dressage to elementary level and lower level eventing. Lynne is a qualified horse riding instructor and has taught many riders who have gone on to compete successfully at the top levels in their chosen disciplines.
