Travel to Africa, and you’ll find yourself immersed in breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultures, and extraordinary wildlife. One of the most enchanting places to experience all of this is Enasoit Camp, a luxury tented camp nestled in the wildlife-rich Laikipia Highlands of Kenya. This exclusive property caters to only one group of guests at a time, providing a uniquely private safari experience that is perfect for families and groups of friends.

About Enasoit Camp

Enasoit Camp is not just any safari lodge; it is a sanctuary of relaxation and adventure. With over 4,000 acres of pure wilderness to explore, guests can fully embrace the tranquillity of nature while enjoying the luxurious comforts the camp offers. Each of the eight beautifully appointed tents features en-suite bathrooms, wooden floors, and private verandahs, allowing you to observe the diverse wildlife right from your accommodation. The camp’s central feature, the main Mess Tent, overlooks a busy waterhole, providing an ideal spot for game viewing while enjoying a refreshing drink.

One of the most distinctive aspects of Enasoit is the extraordinary wildlife activity at the waterhole. Whether you prefer to relax in an armchair or engage in exciting safari activities, the camp promises remarkable wildlife encounters. Enasoit is a critical wildlife corridor within Kenya’s Laikipia Highlands, preserving an important habitat rich in biodiversity.

Our Story: A Passion for Conservation

The Enasoit Collection story is rooted in a family’s deep love for Africa. Their journey began with a spirit of adventure and evolved into a commitment to community and wildlife conservation projects in East Africa. For over thirty years, this Norwegian family has fostered a profound connection with Kenya, creating two enchanting retreats: Enasoit Camp and Tusitiri Dhow, a restored traditional dhow based in the Lamu Archipelago.

Enasoit is more than just a camp; it is the family’s wilderness home. This connection is intimately felt through the camp’s charm and the attentiveness of its staff, many of whom have been part of the team for over twenty years. By choosing to travel to Africa and stay at Enasoit, you not only experience its breathtaking beauty but also contribute to its conservation efforts.

Unique Experiences Await

When you travel to Africa, adventure awaits at every turn. Enasoit Camp offers a plethora of activities designed to immerse you in the wonders of nature. It features two thatched double en-suite cottages, a sitting and dining area beside the pool, and offers exceptional birdlife viewing opportunities. Rooms

Enasoit Camp has 8 rooms: 6 tented cottages and 1 family tent with 2 interconnecting rooms. The rooms are situated around the waterhole, which attracts a busy array of wildlife, easily visible from the tent verandahs. The tents are carefully constructed using canvas and local materials, combining the romance of living ‘under canvas’ with the comfort of a permanent structure. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, wooden floors, a sitting area with a fireplace and private verandah. Life in camp revolves around the open-sided Mess Tent, which overlooks the waterhole. By day, the Mess Tent offers a comfortable shaded spot from which to enjoy the wildlife and views across the plain. At night, a campfire is lit in front of the Mess Tent for pre-dinner drinks and sightings of Enasoit’s nocturnal wildlife.

THE POOL HOUSE

The Pool House is a quiet retreat nestled on the side of a small hill a 5 minute drive or 20 minute gentle walk from Enasoit Camp. The Pool House has two thatched double en-suite cottages, as well as a sitting and dining room beside the pool, and it is surrounded by tropical gardens, which enjoy exceptional bird life. As Enasoit is booked exclusively, guests have sole use of Enasoit Camp and the Pool House during their stay.
