Zungulila Bushcamp offers an intimate and authentic safari experience in Zambia, perfectly suited for families with children over 12 years old. This secluded lodge lies in a remote area of South Luangwa National Park and is home to four of the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Unfortunately, rhinoceroses are no longer present in this region due to historic poaching. Accommodation

Up to eight guests can enjoy the serenity of Zungulila in four spacious tents. Each tent is built under a thatched roof, shaded and comfortably furnished. With private bamboo verandas, the tents overlook the plains and Kapamba River, providing endless opportunities to observe wildlife. Guests may see elephants, lions, buffalo and a variety of bird species directly from their tent. Two of the tents feature twin queen-sized beds, while the other two offer a king-sized double bed.

Zungulila’s chalets continue the same theme of rustic charm blended with comfort. Each has an ensuite bathroom, outdoor shower, sunken plunge pool, and a private veranda. The tented chalets are styled with canopy ceilings and polished wooden finishes that reflect a sense of nostalgia. Designed to complement the natural surroundings, the chalets offer both seclusion and sweeping views of the surrounding plains and river.

The Camp

The main communal area of Zungulila includes a dining area, bar, and a boma space perfect for evening storytelling. The river itself also acts as a venue for leisure, with many guests enjoying sundowners while wading in the shallow waters. Meals are prepared using fresh, local ingredients and are enjoyed outdoors whenever weather allows.
