Accommodation at Tarangire River Camp is made up of 20 tented rooms including five family units and one luxury suite. All rooms have private verandas and en suite bathrooms, and each unit has been built on an elevated wooden platform allowing for wildlife viewing of any game that chooses to move through camp.

The family tents are built with a little more room for parents travelling with their children. Two of the family tents have been configured to accommodate a family of four with a king bed and two single beds. Another two of the family tents have been configured to accommodate a family of five with a king bed and three single beds.

The Luxury Safari Tent is built around a big ancient Baobab Tree overlooking the Tarangire River. It has a king-size extra-length bed, and the outside deck boasts an amazing outdoor shower and bath, which enhances the romantic setting of this tent.

Safari Game drives
Enjoy a game drive in the concession area where the camp is located or in Tarangire National Park — famous for its large number of elephant.

Walking Safaris
Stretch your legs with a two- to three-hour outing with an experienced, armed walking guide, learning more about the smaller wildlife and the subtle signs often missed from the high seat of your 4×4. This must be prebooked.

Night drives
Night drives are a great opportunity to spot the wilderness that hides from the harsh heat of the day and come out to hunt and play under the cover of nightfall. Adjust to the darkness and enjoy the thrill of picking out skulking predators, such as lion and hyena, as the spotlight reflects off their eyes.

Bird watching
With over 600 different type of birds species that includes ostritches, eagles, francolins, yellow collared birds, barbets, pelicans, hammerkops, starlings, bee-eaters, plovers and lovebirds.  The best time to see these bird species is during the noths of November – April which is also the best time to see migrant brids.
